Inspired by Lippan Kaam, the traditional mud-relief and mirror craft of Kutch, Gujarat, the Aabha Long Necklace brings the luminous beauty of this art form into contemporary jewelry.
A long, single chain leads to an intricately detailed central medallion, from which a beautiful cascade of different-sized and shaped mirrors falls at varying lengths. Round, teardrop, and square mirrors are framed with detailed metalwork, creating rhythm, depth, and movement. The composition is finished with delicate rava ball details inspired by traditional ghungroo, adding a subtle jingle with every movement.
Inspired by aabhla, the small mirrors traditionally used in Lippan Kaam and Gujarati and Kutchi textiles, Aabha transforms a familiar craft into a statement of contemporary Gujarati jewelry.
