Umro - Old Stories. New Forms.

Umro is a celebration of the details that surrounded me growing up: the intricate carvings of Rani ki Vav, the geometric language of Patola, the symbols of Trajva, the mirror-studded walls of Lippan Kaam, and the quiet beauty of everyday Gujarati adornment.

Some pieces come from the crafts I remember. Some come from the stories I was told. And some come from the techniques that shaped me as a designer. Each one is reimagined through a contemporary lens, while holding on to the texture, movement and soul of where it came from.

This collection is deeply personal. It is about looking at the familiar with new eyes, recognizing the richness in what was always around me, and bringing those fragments of home beyond the threshold.

From architecture to folk art, from memory to making, Umro carries the many stories of Gujarat outward, and onto you.
